What did you learn about technologies from the process of
construction the product?
The technology I have used during making my music magazine includes
a computer, camera, a tripod, Blogger, Photoshop, Slideshare, Prezi, Sribd and Flickr.
With the camera I learned that the flash isn’t always necessary
when taking a photo of someone or something, that it can sometimes ruin the
photo all together. The camera enabled me to take higher quality photos with the camera being high in megapixles and with the 56-300mm lens, and the different settings helped me see what would bring the model out in the image and what wouldnt. This developed my ICT and creative skills as I gained knowledge on using different settings on a camera and how they assist you when taking a photo. I gained creative skills as I had to think outside the box to try and create outstanding photos which would make my music magazine stand out.
With a tripod I learned that with the use of this it will get rid of all blur while taking the photo because there is no movement of the camera while holding. The tripod enabled me to capture great images as it kept the camera balenced as I was using it. This improved the photos as they were not blured as the camera was steady. This developed my practicle skills as I had to think if this tripod was needed with a shot or not.

With Blogger I learned how to create, edit and work a blog.
My blog enabled instant access to me and other and for me to gain feedback from afar. This developed my ICT and presentational skills as I had to make the blog look presentable, easy to use and read. Also this developed my writing skills as I had to make sure all of the text on the blog was spelt correctly and worded right.
With Photoshop I learned many of the way to edit photos and
how to create templates of a magazine by using many things. This enabled me to integrate image and text to the magazine, to edit images to add different effects and to improve the quality of the images. Now I will be able
to edit other photos by changing the size, colour or even take out a few things
from it. This developed my ICT skills as I have improved in how I create, develope and edit on this program.
With Slideshare and Scribd I learned that I can post a presentation online
with the help of this website. This enabled me to presentate my work in different and profesional ways. Now I will be able to post different types of
work online for others to see. The skills that I gained from them both are that I am now able to presentate to others confidently and profesionally.
With Prezi I learned that there are other ways of presenting your work, with more creative and interactive ways of presenting your work to others. This also allowed me to presentate in effective yet profesional ways. I also developed presentational skills and ICT skills when using Prezi, as it is a different way of presentating work and that it is a different program that I would usually use to present work.
With Flickr I learned that I can upload pictures onto that website, anitate them and them embed or post a link onto a blog or another website. This enabled me to anitate images which I can embed into my blog, these anotations described what the image did and what a part represents. This developed my ICT and analitic skills, as I embeded the image which I anotated into my blog which I did not know before I started this course.
Evaluation 7
What do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
As I look back onto my preliminary task I see that I have
improved in all areas, in the layout of the magazine, in the photo editing and
the quality. The preliminary was to experiment and practice with Photoshop and
it seemed to pay off in the end as I have improved a lot since then. I have embedded
a presentation of how I have improved my work on slideshare.
With question 6, be reflective, rather than saying you can do lots of things and describing what you used indicate how a particular tool enabled you to replicate an effect. Look at what the blog use has enabled: instant access, feedback from afar. Photoshop allowed you to integrate image an text, what does that mean to your finished project?
ReplyDeleteFor 7 you need to similarly avoid description, look at skills you have honed or learnt. How have they impacted on your final draft?
