Front Page
I have chosen the colour scheme of red, white and black on my front cover. These three colours are also my house style for my magazine. I picked these colours as my colour scheme as they stand out who ever looks towards it. The three colours also look really good together and bring out the text and the main features. I have made sure that the main story of this article is in big, bold, white letters so it really jumps out at the reader. It goes well with the help of the black lether jacket.I have made sure that all the text is in the same font. This is so everything is continuos thoughout the magazine, and when a person sees this font the will think of Primal magaize. Most of the text is in either white or red, this is so certian parts of the magazine are seperated from others. It shows which articles are more improtant than others.
The title of the magaizne is in a bold red text with a drop shadow which makes it jump out at the reader. This can be related back to the actual music genre as it looks rock like. Bold, sharp, in your face, just like some of the artists.
The image fits in well with the music genres mise-en-scene. The lether jacket, sunglasses, short jelled hair and black jeans all fit in with the music genre. This all tells its target audience what the genre of the magazine is.
Contents
I am very happy with the images on my contents page and that text too. I dont think that I will change too much to this.
I have chosen to continue the red, black and white house style througout the magazine. I have chosen to use red as my main colour, I used it as borders, the page title and the page numbers. This draws in the target auidence as it is bright and keeps you consentrated onto this page. If I used a duller colour the reader would basicly think the magazine is boring and dull to read, as the red screems attitude and excitment to the reader. The red border outlines what is important on this page, and it says that everything is important as the border goes all around the page. Also seperates out the images from the text and keeps the page organised.
I have choesn the black text with the white background as these colours contrast really well and draws the eye of the reader to read all of the text. I have also chosen to make the titles of bands or the titles of the articles bolder and bigger to draw the readers eye.
I have kept the same font throughout this page and it is the same font I used on the front cover. This gives the magazine a consistant house style and people will remember this magazine when they see the font. Also I thought that this font related to the genre of this magazine as it is bold, loud and in your face, which some artists of this genre are.
Double Page Spread
I am very happy with the out come of my double page spread as it is exactly how I wanted it to look like.
I have kept all the layout the same from the planning but changed the image which is similar to the one of Alex Turner flicking the cigerette. I liked the feel of that photo so I based it on that. I think it shown attitude so I made sure that I would get the same feel, and I think that I have caught that feeling with this image.

Again the font is all the same as the front cover and the contents page. The main text is in black and the questions are in red. Both of these colour contrast with the colour of the background which makes the text more readable. I made sure the main text and the questions where in different colours so the readers will be able to seperate which is which easily which out thinking.
The title of this double page spread is a grab quote from the interview with this artist which sums up the whole interview. It is different than the usual grab quote as it is in two different colour and the text ranges in size. This pulls in the reader as it is interesting to see, and what the qoute says is also interesting. It gives a sence of what this interview is about but it makes you want to know what he thinks "fake" music is.
I have also put two more grab quotes on this page on of which is controvershal and another is him just being big headed. This again gives the reader a sence of reading a rock or alternative rock magazine, which the atitude and the not really caring what people say.
