Shot plans

I will be using these photos as my shot plans and explain how I am going to be taking similar photos. 

Front Cover

 

 

This is what I want my front cover imgae to be like. I would like the model to be wearing sun glasses and a leather jacket on my photo, as this links back to the mise-en-scene of this music genre. Also I really want the use of a cigerette to be in my image, this is because it could be seen as conroversal and it makes him look cooler. It can be contoversal beacuase it could be promoting smoking to people who see this image, and if this were a real magazine it would give it more attention from the media and my target audience. Also it makes the model look cool as it kind of goes against the public view on smoking. The public or media think its dirty and unhealthy, but I want to make it look cool. I want to make the model look like he doesnt really care what people think, like a rock star. I will take my photo differently to this as the model will be sitting on some rough looking steps. I want to make it more urban with a metal fence in the background.

I would like to take a photo like this one. I'm not looking at the mise-en-scene, I'm looking at the angle of the camera, the look on their faces and the way the models look like they are walking past the camera like it was just the media taking another photo. I am aiming to get my photo in a similar angle and to make the models look like they are famous, like the paparatzi was just taking photos of them as they walk past. This makes them look wanted. They way I'm going to change this photo is by taking one of the people out of the photo and only having two. Also I will be changing the mise-en-scene to of less formal clothing.

 

The reason I wanting to take a photo similar to this is because I like the use of the sun in the background. Also I like the use of the clothing as it fits in the mese-en-scene of this genre. I will be having a similar background to this photo, with the sun shining over them and you can see the trees. I will be using the same amount of people as well, with similar clothing such as leather and denim jackets. In this you can tell they are a alternative rock band just by looking at them. The mise-en-scene does give this away. 

This will the last picture on my contents page. This will be different to the others as it is a close up of a models face, also when I take the photo I will make it darker by editing it. I am wanting to use a model who has a similar hair style to this one in the picture as it also seems to be a hair style many artists have in the alterative rock genre. I will not be taking a photo with the brick wall in the background as i don't like the look of it. just being there.

 

Double Page Spread

This picture will be on my double page spread but it will not be in the centre of the page, it will be on the page which is on the right hand side. When I take the photo for my double page spread I will be closer in to the model so we get a view of his face. Also I like the way he is flicking the cigerette to the camera, so I will be doing the same thing and in a similar place aswell. I would like it so it cover some of his face but not all of it so we know who it is.
